1. AFL Footy Drills - shortball drills

   1.1  Kick, 1-2 handball, retrieve
Ages   Senior, U/16.

Skills   Kick (short), Handball (quick), Crumb.
About
For coaching AFL footballers aged U/16 to senior, you will need groups of 6 players, 1 cone and 2 footballs per group. The length of this drill is 15 metres for seniors, when coaching juniors you should shorten this drill to a more appropriate length. This exercise develops short kicking, quick handballing and short kicking. Use this exercise early in the training session, or perhaps in between longer exercises for recovery.
