  • 1Click Login in the top-right corner.
  • 2Enter the email address and password you registered with
  • 3If you're don't wish to enter your details every time you visit Coach Assist, select the 'Remember me' option, however only when you're on a private computer.
If you have forgotten your login credentials:
  • 1Click Password Reminder and enter your email address. You will be sent an email containing information about how to login.
  • 2Once you receive your password, login with those details.
  • 1Select Join from the menu.
  • 2Choose the membership category you would like to purchase.
  • 3Fill in your first name, surname, email address,mobile/contact phone number.
  • 4Type your club/school. If your club/school appears, select it, otherwise simply keeping typing.
  • 5If you enter a new club, you’ll need to type your league. If your League appears as you type, select it, otherwise simply keeping typing, then select which state it’s in.
  • 6Select your position at your club/school.
  • 7Create your password(minimum of 7 characters) and enter it twice.
  • 8Select your payment method - credit card, PayPal or cheque.
  • 9If you selected credit card payment, enter your card number, expiry date and your csc code which is displayed as the last 3 digits on the back of your credit card.
  • 10Read the "terms & conditions" and check the box to mark your agreement.
  • 11Once payment is successful, you'll see a confirmation screen. Clicking the continue button will take you to the member homepage and you’ll have immediate access to all resources.
  • 12If you selected to pay by cheque, we will activate your membership and notify by email once your cheque clears.
RETRIEVING DRILLS
From the menu, rollover DRILLS to reveal 5 methods to access drills:-
  • 1SKILLS - Grouped by individual skill types.
  • 2CATEGORIES - Strategies for winning.
  • 3USED IN SESSIONS - All the drills you’ve added to training sessions, most recent listed first.
  • 4FAVOURITES - Drills you have rated (via DRILL VIEW or TRAINING SESSION EDIT), with the highest rated listed first (see DRILL DISPLAY section for rating drills).
  • 5NAME SEARCH - Quick access if you know the drill name.
DRILL LISTS
Display the name of the drill, minimum players and age, number of balls and cones needed, the distance, skills and focus areas.
  • 1Click the drill image or name to see the drill in full.
  • 2Click [ + ] to add the drill to a training session.
  • 3Click [=>] to share the drill with players or supporters.
DRILL VIEW
  • 1There are various methods to access individual drills, either from a list you’ve retrieved (see RETRIEVING DRILLS), or via training session plans.
  • 2The drill view page has 3 main areas.
    • aThe purpose, focus areas and skills, and equipment needed.
    • bThe drill diagram and steps. Enlarge diagrams by hovering your mouse over it.
    • cThe drill video.
  • 3Drill Steps begin at Setup. << First < Prev >Next >>Last controls let you click through the drill steps.
  • 4If there is a VIDEO, click the VIDEO tab above the diagram. The usual features will are available, including play | pause | shuffle | full-screen.
  • 5The INSTRUCTIONS tab lets you flick back to [diagram+steps] from the drill video.
  • 6Click ‘Add to Session’ to add this drill to a scheduled training session.
  • 7Click ‘Share’ to share this drill with assistant coaches and/or players.
  • 8Click ‘Print’ to make a hardcopy of this drill.
  • 9More suggested drills appear in a list at the foot of the page.
  • 10Refine your search by using the search control in the right column.
PLAYERS
Add everyone in your playing group to this list, allowing you to:-
  • 1Include them in teamsheets.
  • 2Record BEST & FAIREST and GOALKICKERS.
  • 3Share information with them, such as messages, teamsheets, etc.

ADDING players:-
  • 1Choose CLUB > PLAYERS from the menu.
  • 2Click the ADD button.
  • 3Enter up to 5 players by expanding the arrow on each row the reveal the fields underneath.
  • 4First name and surname are required, but you can also record jumper # and email address.
  • 5Email address is required if you want to share information with players.
  • 6Click ‘Save New Players’ and repeat until everyone is added.

EDITING players:-
  • 1Click the arrow at the end of the row to expand the panel underneath.
  • 2Edit their details, scroll down and click 'Save'.
ASSISTANTS
Add your assistant coaches to this list, allowing you to share information with them, such as training programs and drills.
ADDING assistants:-
  • 1Choose CLUB > ASSISTANTS from the menu.
  • 2Click the ADD button.
  • 3Enter up to 5 assistants by expanding the arrow on each row the reveal the fields underneath.
  • 4First name, surname and email address are required.
  • 5Click 'Save New Assistants' and repeat until everyone is added.

EDITING assistants:-
  • 1Click the arrow at the end of the row to expand the panel underneath.
  • 2Edit their details, scroll down and click 'Save'.
SUPPORTERS
Add your supporters (e.g. parents, fans) to this list, allowing you to share information with them, such as fixtures and match reports.
ADDING supporters:-
  • 1Choose CLUB > SUPPORTERS from the menu.
  • 2Click the ADD button.
  • 3Enter up to 5 supporters by expanding the arrow on each row the reveal the fields underneath.
  • 4First name, surname and email address are required.
  • 5Click 'Save New Supporters' and repeat until everyone is added.

EDITING supporters:-
  • 1Click the arrow at the end of the row to expand the panel underneath.
  • 2Edit their details, scroll down and click 'Save'.

OPPONENTS
Add your opponents to this list, allowing you to include them in fixtures, and share their venue map with people from your club.
ADDING OPPONENTS:-
  • 1Choose CLUB > OPPONENTS from the menu.
  • 2Click the ADD button.
  • 3Opponent name is required, but you can also record their venue address.
  • 2Click 'Submit' and repeat until all opponents are added.

MAPPING Venues:-
  • 1Drag the red pin to roughly the correct spot on the map.
  • 2Use your mouse-wheel, or click [ + ] to zoom-in.
  • 3Go to step 1 and repeat until you have zoomed to the precise location.
  • 4Drag the red pin onto the venue and click 'Save'.
  • 5Once the map coordinates have been saved, you will see the item is listed in the grid as 'Mapped=yes'.

EDITING opponents:-
  • 1Click the pencil icon in the edit column.
  • 2Make changes and save.
SHARING a venue:-
  • 1Click the share icon in the share column.
  • 2You will be redirected to the share screen where you choose who you want to share the venue with.
AWARDS
There are two leaderboards on this page.
BEST & FAIREST AWARD
  • 1Individual player tallies of BEST & FAIREST votes awarded for a fixture.
  • 2Award votes by using the FIXTURE page, then EDIT RESULTS and add BEST & FAIREST (see FIXTURE section for how to edit results).

GOALKICKERS
  • 1Individual player tallies of goals scored for the season.
  • 2Record goals by using the FIXTURE page, then EDIT RESULTS and add SCORERS (see FIXTURE section for how to edit results).

MY CLUB
  • 1Edit club information in the left-column and click 'Update' to save.
  • 2To change clubs (not available for club license holders), use the ACCOUNT page.

MAPPING your home venue:-
  • 1Drag the red pin to roughly the correct spot on the map.
  • 2Use your mouse-wheel, or click [ + ] to zoom-in.
  • 3Go to step 1 and repeat until you have zoomed to the precise location.
  • 4Drag the red pin onto the venue and click 'Save'.

UPLOADING your club logo:-
  • 1Click ‘Choose File’ and select the image (.jpg, .gif, .png) on your computer.
  • 2Click ‘Upload’ once. Once uploaded, the logo will appear above the upload control. Your logo appears on your TEAM WALL.
Your diary contains your fixtures and training sessions rolled into one.
Overview
  • 1 The left column contains a calendar which allows you to select any day by clicking on it. Days which training sessions (blue) or fixtures (green) are scheduled will have a different colour background.
  • 2 The right column shows your next scheduled training session and fixture, or events on the date you click on the calendar.
  • 3 Training sessions displayed have links to [Edit | Print | Share | Duplicate | Remove] the session.
  • 4 Fixtures displayed with show the result (if the match is complete), and have links to [Share | Edit Result | Edit Team].
Preconditions
Before you can enter your fixture, you'll need to add your OPPONENTS (under the CLUB menu option).
  • 1Choose FIXTURE from the menu bar.
  • 2If there are no fixture records found for the current season, you’ll be redirected to the FIXTURE SETUP screen.
    • aEnter the number of minor rounds (including byes), first minor round game date, the normal day your games are played and the regular start time.
    • bThis operation will create fixture records for every week of your season, and return you to FIXTURE EDIT.
  • 3To EDIT or DELETE existing fixture records, click a row.
  • 4To ADD an new fixture, click the ADD button.
  • 5Required data for each fixture is date, time, series, round, opponent and whether home or away.
  • 6View past years with the YEAR dropdown at the top. Only years for which fixtures are found will be displayed.
  • 7Post your fixture to the team wall by clicking the SHARE button.
  • 8Click the group icon in the TEAM column to edit the teamsheet.
  • 9Click the pencil icon in the RESULT column to enter scores, Best & Fairest, Goalkickers and a match report.
Coach Assist provides two methods for creating training sessions. The first method is to pick the drills yourself, the second is to have Coach Assist generate a session for you.
Method 1 - Selecting your own drills
Choose if you want to choose/enter the drills yourself.
  • 1From the menu, select TRAINING > CREATE SESSION.
  • 2Click the calendar button and select the session date.
  • 3Click the time button and select the session time.
  • 4Choose the "I'll pick and enter the drills" option.
  • 5Click 'Generate'.
  • 6You will be redirected to the session edit page, showing your generated session with just 2 items added (warm up and warm down).
  • 7Click the 'Add my Drill' button and type in the drill name, otherwise browse through drills on the site where you can also add them to your session.
  • 8If there is more than one future session planned, you must choose the session to add the drill to.
Method 2 - Coach Assist tailored session
Choose if you want Coach Assist to generate a complete training session.
  • 1From the menu, select TRAINING > CREATE SESSION.
  • 2Click the calendar button and select the session date.
  • 3Click the time button and select the session time.
  • 4Choose the "Coach Assist tailored session".
  • 5Specify the standard of your playing group, and the session length.
  • 6Select any particular focus areas or skills you wish to work on.
  • 7Click 'Generate'.
  • 8You will be redirected to the session edit page, showing your generated session plan.
The blue header strip contains a number of functions you can perform relating to your entire training session:-
  • 1Diary: Returns you back to the DIARY.
  • 2#Attendees: Record how many players attended the session.
  • 3Rate / Edit: Toggle between editing drills (pre - session) and rating the drills (post - session). Drills you rate appear in your Favourites list.
  • 4Print: Sends the session plan to your printer.
  • 5Share: Posts this session on your team wall so assistants can view and access diagrams on their mobile device, assisting drill set-up.
  • 6Duplicate: Create a new session from a copy of this session plan. Click the 'Set Date' and ‘Set Time’ buttons to set the new date and time respectively, and click 'save'.
  • 7Reschedule: Change the date and time of this session. Click the 'Change Date' and 'Change Time' buttons to change the date and time respectively, and click 'save'.
  • 8Remove:Removes this session from your diary.
  • 9New Session: Create a new training session.
EDITING DRILL ORDER and DURATION
  • 1Reorder: Change the order of the drills by clicking the Order column of the drill you want to move, dragging it up/down the list, and releasing.
  • 2View a drill: Hover over the diagram thumbnail to view an enlarged diagram (desktop only), or click the drill name to open the drill for viewing in a new window.
  • 3Edit duration: Change the duration of a drill by typing a new value in the textbox in the 'Duration' column and clicking 'save'.
  • 4Delete drill: Remove this drill from your session.
  • 5Print: Sends the drill to your printer.
ADDING DRILLS
  • 1To add a drills from Coach Assist:-
    • aIn both drill lists and individual drill pages you will see buttons to 'Add to Session'. If there is only one upcoming session planned, clicking will add to this session immediately, or if you have several upcoming sessions, click and select the correct session date.
    • bIf you know the drill name, within session edit, click the 'Add my Drill' button, type the name of the Coach Assist drill and select it when it appears as a suggestion.
  • 2To add your own drill:-
    • aClick the 'Add my Drill' button.
    • bType the name of your drill, duration and optionally other drill details and click 'save'.
COMPLETED SESSIONS
Edit a completed session to remember the session and the drills used.
  • 1Drill rating: Use the star rating system alongside each drill to rate it, 5=Excellent, 1=Poor. Access drills you’ve rated via the menu: DRILLS > FAVOURITES.
  • 2#Attendees: How many players trained in that session.
  • 2Notes: Points to remember, before and/or after the session.
MESSAGES
Send general shouts outs to players about training, the game ahead, or general club functions. You can attach images or documents, great for showing game photos or distributing important club information.
  • 1From the menu, choose SHARE > SHARE.
  • 2Type your message in the textbox.
  • 3To include either an image or pdf with your message, click 'Choose File' and select the file on your computer. You will see the progress bar reach 100%.
  • 4Choose your recipients (refer to SHARE RECIPIENTS section).
  • 5Click the 'Share' button. This will create the share item, send each recipient an email alert, and redirect you to the TEAM WALL so you can see what your recipients see.

SHARE RECIPIENTS
  • 1There are three groups of recipients - PLAYERS, ASSISTANTS and SUPPORTERS.
  • 2If you need to add people to these groups, refer to CLUB section.
  • 3Choose from (ALL / SELECTED / NONE). If you choose SELECTED, you will need to pick individuals from that group.

DRILLS
Share drills with assistants and players so they can learn it before training.
  • 1The drill list pages, and the drill pages have share buttons. Click the share button for the drill you want to share.
  • 2It’s recommended you type a message to accompany the drill.
  • 3Choose your recipients (refer to SHARE RECIPIENTS section).
  • 4Click the ‘Share’ button. This will create the share item, send each recipient an email alert, and redirect you to the TEAM WALL so you can see what your recipients see.

TRAINING SESSIONS
Send full training programs to your assistants. Mobile friendly access lets them view cone setup diagrams and manage equipment. You might even consider sending your training program to your players, who can read the purpose of the drills they'll practice and watch the videos.
  • 1Access the session you want to share via TRAINING from the menu, or your DIARY.
  • 2Click the 'Share' button located in the training session headers.
  • 3Optionally type a message to accompany the session plan.
  • 4Choose your recipients (refer to SHARE RECIPIENTS section). Note that you cannot share training sessions with supporters, only PLAYERS and ASSISTANTS.
  • 5Click the 'Share' button. This will create the share item, send each recipient an email alert, and redirect you to the TEAM WALL so you can see what your recipients see. Please note that only the first 8 drills will appear on the wall.

FIXTURE
  • 1Access your FIXTURE via the menu (refer to FIXTURE section for how to enter your fixture).
  • 2Click the 'Share' button located in the fixture header.
  • 3Optionally type a message to accompany the fixture.
  • 4Choose your recipients (refer to SHARE RECIPIENTS section).
  • 5Click the ‘Share’ button. This will create the share item, send each recipient an email alert, and redirect you to the TEAM WALL so you can see what your recipients see.

MATCH REPORT
Share your results with your team and supporters. Includes quarter-by-quarter scores, best & fairest, goal scorers, and your summary of the match.
  • 1Access your FIXTURE via the menu (refer to FIXTURE section for how to enter match results).
  • 2Click the 'Result' pencil icon to drill down to a particular fixture.
  • 3Click the 'Share' button located at the top of the page.
  • 4Optionally type a message to accompany the match report.
  • 5Choose your recipients (refer to SHARE RECIPIENTS section).
  • 6Click the 'Share' button. This will create the share item, send each recipient an email alert, and redirect you to the TEAM WALL so you can see what your recipients see.

TEAMSHEET
Don't just post a teamsheet in the clubrooms - share so people can access it anywhere. Players and assistants can study it at their leisure from their home. Keep it as a permanent record so you remember how you lined-up, and who was out.
  • 1Access your FIXTURE via the menu (refer to FIXTURE section for how to enter match results).
  • 2Click the 'Team' pencil icon to drill down to a particular teamsheet.
  • 3Click the ‘Share’ button located at the top of the page.
  • 4Optionally type a message to accompany the teamsheet.
  • 5Choose your recipients (refer to SHARE RECIPIENTS section).
  • 6Click the 'Share' button. This will create the share item, send each recipient an email alert, and redirect you to the TEAM WALL so you can see what your recipients see.

VENUE
Share a Google Map pinning the opponent venue and its address. Makes it very easy for players, assistants and supporters to find the ground.
  • 1Choose CLUB > OPPONENTS in the menu (refer to OPPONENTS section for how to enter opponents and map their venue).
  • 2Click the 'Share' icon next to a particular opponent. Only opponents.
  • 3Optionally type a message to accompany the venue.
  • 4Choose your recipients (refer to SHARE RECIPIENTS section).
  • 5Click the ‘Share’ button. This will create the share item, send each recipient an email alert, and redirect you to the TEAM WALL so you can see what your recipients see.

TEAM WALL
  • 1Everyone you share with accesses items via the TEAM WALL. Items shared with an individual will appear on their wall, a bit like Facebook. However when coaches (paid members) view their team wall, they see all their active share items.
  • 2When you share an item with a recipient, they receive an email with a link to access the team wall.
  • 3Wall viewers can filter on content type (e.g. drills or venues) for quick access by clicking on the relevant tab.

HISTORY
  • 1Choose SHARE > HISTORY in the menu.
  • 2The grid represents all active shared items (refer to this section above for how to share items).
  • 3REMOVE a shared item by clicking [ x ]. Note this doesn’t remove the actual item (e.g. a drill or fixture), just access to that item by others.
  • 4EDIT a shared item by clicking the pencil icon in the ‘Edit’ column. You will be redirected to the SHARE page where you can change the content, message and recipients. An email will not be sent after an edit, it will simply change the underlying data and/or recipients.
To contact a Coach Assist staff member, choose 'Contact' from the menu and complete the details of your query, leaving your name, email address and your message. Don't forget to leave a contact telephone number if you want us to call you.
