Quickly switching play is vital to open up space to lead into. This drill practices creating space by handballing to a player front and square in a central position, who then gives to a wider running option.

    (B) takes the ball and handballs into the centre to (C)

    (C) receives and handballs to (D), who is running towards (E) at full pace

    (D) runs their distance, has a bounce, then handballs to (E)

  • Step 5

    (E) takes the ball and handballs into the centre to (F)

  • Step 6

    (F) receives and handballs to (A), who is running towards (B) at full pace
