Purpose

By aiming for a smaller goal within the goal when taking a set shot, players are forced to concentrate on controlling the ball to pinpoint a smaller target. The same can be applied on gameday, when players can use the goal umpire as their target within a target when kicking at goal.

Setup
Place 2 cones 1m apart on the goal line in the middle of the goals. Players form 2 teams behind (A) and (B), positioned within a comfortable scoring distance right in front.
Step 1
A player from each team takes a ball and prepares for a set shot, while 2 players stand the mark. The coach says 'go', and both players take a shot in unison

A player whose kick goes between the cones or the 'inner goal' scores 2 points

A player whose kick scores a goal but is outside the cones scores 1 point
Step 2
Players who shot at goal then stand the mark for the next player in line. Players standing the mark retrieve the ball from assistants behind the goal and return to the cones (A) and (B)
Step 3
Once all players have taken a shot, move cones (A) and (B) to another position on the ground and repeat.
Step 4
The winner is the team to score the most points. Players keep their own individual score, and at the end those with the most points playoff in a sudden-death grand final, the winner being the first person to lead the scoring.
